Today we arrived in Phoenix, Arizona. Flying into the city, there were many new sights and landscapes, it was exciting to see the skyline! The airport was big, but luckily we found other students from the group and traveled together. It was much warmer in Arizona than our host cities! After a quick lunch we boarded our buses and headed to Pampano Park to see the Hole in the Rock Park. Many of us had never seen the desert before, the red rocks and blue skies were amazing!
Then we drove through downtown Phoenix, it was very clean and there were lots of people riding bikes and riding on skateboards. Then we stopped at the state capitol and walked around the grounds. There were cacti over twice our size!
We said goodbye to the capitol with a beautiful sunset and cotton candy clouds! Tomorrow we head to the grand canyon, and we are all very excited--except there might be snow!
